We have built up a reputation for excellent food and were in the Guardian newspaper’s “UK’s Best 50 Sunday Lunches” in October 2017.   We were voted runner up in the Lincolnshire Life “A Taste of Excellence” awards 2008/09 in the category Best Pub Food. We have also been awarded a gold citation in the Lincolnshire Life “A Taste of Excellence“ awards for the last 7 years. We are listed in both the AA Pub Guide and The Good Pub Guide

All our meals are homemade, our portions are generous, we source locally wherever possible and our prices are sensible. In addition to our extensive main menu, daily specials are available.

Sunday lunch is important at the Red Lion. We serve a traditional roast dinner with a selection of locally produced vegetables as well as our full menu.

A good selection of wines is available from our wine list and our real ales are maintained to the highest quality.

Wherever possible we use locally sourced produce. Our meat is reared locally and supplied by Boston Sausage, Boston and Wards Butchers, Ruskington,  our fish is supplied by Moorcrofts of Grimsby, our eggs are free range and come from extremely happy hens at the Tasty Farm in Burgh le Marsh and we buy our fruit and vegetables from Bedfords Fruit and Veg, Skegness who in turn source their produce where possible from local farms and suppliers.

We can cater for large parties of up to 50 (sit down) or 80 (buffet) in our restaurant area and are able to host every celebration imaginable (birthdays, Christmas parties, anniversaries, christenings) as well as funeral buffets.  We are open to the general public for food 6 days a week and food is available for bed and breakfast guests 7 days of the week.  Please see our contact page for our opening times.
